Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 29 September 2026

These terms cover purchases of printed books through our online store and explain how training enquiries and bookings are handled.

Please read these terms before placing an order or confirming a training booking.

2. Which terms apply

Our online store sells stocked printed books to individuals and businesses. Training is arranged separately following an enquiry.

Our Shipping Policy and Returns and Refund Policy form part of the terms for book purchases. Our Training Enquiry and Booking Policy, together with the quotation and terms supplied before booking, applies to training.

Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how personal information and website technologies are used.

Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

3. Training enquiries and bookings

Submitting an enquiry through our website does not confirm a booking or reserve a training place.

We will contact you to discuss the course, availability, location, delegate requirements and price. The applicable quotation and booking terms will be provided before you commit.

A booking becomes binding when you accept the quotation and booking terms and we confirm the booking by email.

Please check all booking details, including company information, delegate names, dates and the training location, and tell us promptly about any errors or changes.

Training payments

Unless otherwise agreed in writing before booking, training invoices must be paid within 14 days of the invoice date.

Certificates will be issued after payment has been received and the relevant course and assessment requirements have been met. Payment or attendance alone does not guarantee successful assessment or certification.

These invoice terms apply to training and do not apply to online book orders.

Training cancellations and changes

Training cancellation charges, non-attendance arrangements and requests to reschedule are addressed in our Training Enquiry and Booking Policy and the terms supplied before booking.

Those terms do not override applicable statutory cancellation rights or remedies where we fail to supply the agreed service.

4. Book descriptions and suitability

Please check the title, edition, description and quantity before placing your order. Contact us if you need clarification about a book’s contents or suitability.

Books are learning and reference materials. Purchasing a book does not itself provide practical training, assessment, certification or authorisation to operate equipment.

Materials should be used alongside appropriate training, equipment instructions and workplace procedures. This does not remove our responsibility to supply goods that meet their description and applicable legal standards.

5. Placing and accepting an order

You are responsible for checking that your order, contact details and billing and delivery addresses are correct before submitting an order.

An automated order acknowledgement confirms that we have received your order. It does not, by itself, mean that we have accepted it.

A contract is formed when we send you an email expressly confirming acceptance of your order.

[Before publication: confirm that this acceptance process matches the actual EasyCart checkout and email wording.]

If we cannot accept your order—for example, because a book is unavailable or payment cannot be completed—we will tell you promptly. Any payment already taken for an order we do not accept will be refunded without undue delay.

6. Prices and payment

Prices are displayed in [confirm currency]. The total payable, including applicable taxes and delivery charges, will be shown before you place your order.

We accept:

  • Card payments processed through Stripe.

  • Direct bank transfer using the payment instructions provided.

For bank transfers, please use your order reference so that we can identify your payment.

Payment must be received in full and cleared before books are dispatched. The 14-day payment period for training invoices does not apply to book purchases.

[Before publication: confirm the payment deadline for bank-transfer orders and how customers are notified before an unpaid order is cancelled.]

Please do not send full card details or card security codes by email.

Pricing errors

If we discover a pricing or product-description error before accepting your order, we will explain the correction and give you the choice of proceeding or cancelling. We will not charge an increased price without your agreement.

If a problem is discovered after acceptance, we will contact you to agree an appropriate resolution consistent with your legal rights.

7. Shipping and delivery

We deliver books throughout the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.

Standard shipping is [confirm £4.99 GBP] per order.

Please allow up to 10 business days for dispatch after order acceptance and receipt of cleared payment.

[Before publication: approve this dispatch start point and add the estimated delivery time after dispatch for UK and Republic of Ireland orders.]

Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding public and bank holidays in Northern Ireland. Dispatch is when your order leaves us; it is not the date it arrives.

Unless a different delivery period has been expressly agreed, consumer orders will be delivered without undue delay and within 30 calendar days of the contract being made.

If your order is delayed, missing or damaged in transit, contact info@axisafetyni.com. We will investigate and explain the available resolution.

For consumer deliveries using a carrier we arrange, responsibility for the goods normally remains with us until you, or someone you nominate, physically receives them.

Please read our Shipping Policy for further information.

8. Cancellations, returns and refunds for books

Consumer change-of-mind returns

If you buy standard printed books online as a consumer, you can normally cancel without giving a reason before delivery or within 14 calendar days after the day you receive them.

After notifying us of cancellation, you have a further 14 calendar days to send the books back.

For change-of-mind returns, you pay the direct return postage cost. You may inspect books as you reasonably would in a shop. Where permitted by law, we may deduct for reduced value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature and characteristics.

For a valid cancellation of the whole order, we refund the goods and the standard outward delivery charge. Refunds are made using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, without a refund fee.

The full procedure, refund deadlines, return address and optional cancellation form are set out in our Returns and Refund Policy.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect books

Your rights relating to faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied books are separate from change-of-mind cancellation rights.

Contact us with your order reference and details of the problem. We will provide the remedy required by applicable law and cover necessary return costs where the problem is our responsibility.

9. Business purchases

Individuals and businesses may purchase from our store.

Consumer cooling-off rights do not generally apply to purchases made for business purposes. Change-of-mind returns for business purchases require our agreement unless separate written terms provide otherwise.

This does not exclude a business customer’s rights relating to faulty or incorrectly supplied goods under the contract and applicable law.

A company name or workplace delivery address does not, by itself, determine whether a purchase is a consumer or business transaction.

10. Intellectual property

Copyright and other intellectual property rights in books, website content, photographs, logos and training materials belong to AxiSafety Training Ltd or the relevant rights holders.

Buying a physical book does not transfer copyright or grant permission to reproduce, scan, upload or commercially distribute its contents, except where permitted by law or authorised by the rights holder.

11. Website use

You must not use the website for unlawful purposes, submit fraudulent orders, introduce malicious software or attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or customer information.

The website may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance or technical problems. If you cannot access information about an existing order or booking, contact us by email.

Website unavailability does not remove our obligations under an existing contract.

12. Our responsibility

We are responsible for fulfilling our contractual and legal obligations.

For consumer purchases, we are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable where it is an obvious consequence or was contemplated by both parties when the contract was made.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence.

  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

  • Breach of rights or obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded.

  • Any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

13. Events outside our reasonable control

If an event outside our reasonable control affects an order or booking, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and take reasonable steps to reduce its effects.

We will explain the expected delay and available options. This does not remove applicable cancellation, refund or other statutory rights.

14. Questions and complaints

Please email info@axisafetyni.com with your order or booking reference and a description of the issue.

We will investigate and explain the proposed resolution. Contacting us does not require you to give up any statutory remedy or rights available through your payment provider.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland.

If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of mandatory protections available under the laws of your country of residence, where applicable, or restrict your right to bring proceedings in a court available to you under applicable law.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Updated terms will appear on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.

We will not normally notify you individually of routine website updates. Where notice is required by law, we will provide it.

The terms agreed when your order or booking becomes binding continue to apply to that contract. Later website updates do not automatically change an existing agreement.
